The Taser 7 Cq is the highly anticipated unit that I’ve had a few calls about (Watch Video Below for All Details from this article). Initially, it was for law enforcement, but taylor now has the unit for the civilian market. So, as you can see, it comes in the carrying case here with this paper wrapping that shows the unit and some some information about the unit.
So I’m going to go ahead and open up the case of the Axon Taser 7, this nice black carrying case here that it comes with it, features the unit in a nice holster, the battery itself and the cartridges so putting that to the side below the foam here inside the carrying case. There is some documentation that comes with it. There’S a nice little taser decal a quick start guide. There is a target sheet here for you to practice with there’s an owner’s manual for the holster and some warranty and safety information. So that’s the documentation it comes with.
Take this and put it to the side, so here’s the unit itself. Unfortunately, it only comes with a right hand holster. If you’re left-handed you’re out of luck, you’re going to have to purchase a left-hand holster. It would be nice if taser designed this to be ambidextrous, it could be um. This clip could be put on on both sides, so you could wear it on the left or the right, not sure of what it is why they don’t do that.
So there’s a clip here you press down to drop down this safety strap here, pull the unit out. So this is the unit. So you know what are the major improvements of the taser 7 cq home defense? Well, according to taser, which is now axon, the unit comes with redesigned probes that shoot faster and are more accurate. According to taser, there’s more kinetic energy behind the probes, the probes uh feature redesigned darts for better clothing penetration, stronger connection to the skin and less ricochet.
The Taser 7 For Sale also features the cartridge, there’s actually two cartridges um and it comes with a backup shot. So you have you, have the ability to fire twice without reloading and taser also mentioned it features. Adaptive cross connect from my understanding is, if you miss the first um time with your with your shot. Let’s say: one probe hits your assailant and you fire again and the second time your your boat probes hit your assailant. Then all three probes will will be live.
Taser 7 Specs. The unit comes with a close range cartridge, so the older units for you to for it to work properly you’ll have to be several feet away from your assailant, i believe, up to four or more than four feet for the unit to work effectively in uh disabling. Your your attacker, well with this, this new design uh these cartridges. You could be close to zero to twelve feet, so there’s no need to distance to to get the spread of the cartridges for it to work effectively, which is a major improvement. It also features a faster cartridge reload, and one of the features that I love about this new unit is the the warning arc. Um the warning arc, I’m going to show you in a second is it’s very intimidating and you could also use it as a stun gun if you don’t fire the unit.
So let me go ahead and put the battery in. So the battery is good for 500 firing, which is excellent. It should last a long time um. So there’s a on and off lever here, I’m going to get go ahead and turn on there’s a led screen back here that actually shows you the battery condition. If it’s full or needs replacing, it comes with a led light and also a red laser to help you better aim the unit.
So I mentioned there’s a button here: um right by your your index, finger on both sides if you’re left or right handed that you can hit to to warn your attacker that you’re about to fire a unit. So I’m going to go ahead and fire it it’s very loud, very intimidating and you can actually see the arc jump. The leads – and you could also use it as a stun gun without firing. You touch somebody with it. It’l elect as a stun gun um. So I actually love that feature i mentioned. I’m going to go ahead and turn this off mention. Oh one more thing, so the the unit features a five second cycle time, so I’m going to go ahead and fire it. So it will automatically turn off after five seconds on the led, there’s actually a countdown um from five to zero seconds and then, if you wan na, if you wanted to to activate it again, you’ll have to re-fire it. So i mentioned the cartridges they come in.
The sleeve right here they actually come connected, but they can be disconnected, but you have to reconnect them to be able to install in the unit. So you just told them here: I’m not going to put them all the way in um. So that’s why i installed it, so i am very impressed with the the taser 7 It’s definitely a significant upgrade to the older models. Once again, I love this warning arc feature, i think it’s it’s very intimidating before you actually fire the unit, because the cartridges are very expensive.
